Organic hazelnut cocoa spread. Rigoni di Asiago has created this all natural specialty by adding the finest quality of dark chocolate, hazelnuts (16%), brown sugar, skim milk powder, cocoa butter and sunflower oil
9.5 oz. jar
From Italy
Rarely do we compare products, but in this case we make an exception. This creamy spread is better known by it's commercial name "Nutella", but Rigoni Di Asiago has it's own organic version that is light years apart from it's well known cousin. Here's the reasons:
1 - CONSISTENCY: Rigoni adds more hazelnuts into their mix. This produces a slightly thicker crème, with less air whipped in. Nutella adds more oil and whips it's product to get air into the finished product. Look at the picture below to see what we mean.

2 - FLAVOR: More hazelnuts means the Rigoni product has a more pronounced nutty flavor. It also uses organic cocoa making it free from any chemicals that might leave a funny aftertaste. Nutella uses vegetable oil and palm oil with no cocoa butter giving it a greasy quality, Rigoni uses sunflower oil and full cocoa butter - a sign of better quality.
In our humble opinion, the products don't even compare - pick up a jar and see for yourself!

OUR STORY - A RELATIONSHIP WITH NATURE
It all began 90 years ago, thanks to the passion of two brothers, Mario and Paolo Rigoni. Devoted to the natural beauty of where they were born, Mario and Paolo started producing honey from the fragrant flowers found in the pristine meadows of Asiago, Italy. Their savory honey was so successfull that the brothers decided to expand their production to fruit spreads and jams, maintaining the high standard of using only natural ingredients. Demand kept growing and for three generations the Rigoni family has been hard at work making their products following the traditional processes that take time but deliver exceptional quality and flavor.
Launched in 2006, Nocciolata is Rigoni's "newest" product born from another old family recipe. Like everything else from Rigoni, it is 100% organic goodness
